It looks like tax breaks giving to companies as incentives for them to keep jobs local can really work. In Oakland, a tax break proposal passed and right away, companies were willing to relocate 614 jobs to the area. More cities may want to pay attention to this move and use it in their own areas to lure big businesses to bring jobs where they are most needed.
Of course, we don’t need to use tax breaks. If the country would just start treating businesses like businesses instead of giving them citizen status, our political leaders could easily mandate that they must keep their jobs local and not be allowed to ship them out overseas. Imagine the outrage that would occur—the Trumpers and Kochers crying “Blasphemy!” in their old, white guy, spider-webbed voices.
Imagine how many people would have jobs, too.
